2000 S-Type Air Vent (How do I remove them?)
I went to swap out the wood on my dash today.
I took about 20-30 min's trying to figure out how to remove the air vents.
I can't find it in JTIS, and "The Best" Service manual says:
"Release the tangs, and remove the air vents"
It does not say where the tangs are, or how to release them.
Just behind the vanes, I see 2 "tangs" on the bottom.
I pried up on them, I pushed down on them, but they don't seem to budge.
Can anyone shed some light on how to remove the vents?
Thanks for the help.

I got the vents out, takes time and patience.
All vents have 2 tangs on the top, and 2 tangs on the bottom, except the far-left vent (drivers end), it has 1 on top, and 1 on bottom.
They are little more than plastic "wings" that need to be pried up, for the bottom ones, and down for the upper ones.
To pry 4 at one time is next to impossible, but just work them...with something providing an outward pull force on the vent, and it'll pop out.
After the fact, I did pry 1 up and over, so it was hung up on the plastic on its side, and it did stay, and did not break off.
