2000 S-Type won't crank
I had this problem for awhile and then it went away but now it's back!!! I turn the ignition switch and nothing happens. Lights come on, etc., but no cranking. After several tries and after putting it in N and pumping brake, and moving shifter, it would eventually start -- but not last night? Does anyone have any suggestions?

If moving the shifter changed it, maybe disassemble and look for loose/worn/damaged parts. Check ou the microswitch used for interlock. The workshop manual should help (ebay $10).
