Hi folks, I have a friend with the 2001 3.0 S type with the following symptoms,

" I'm have problems with the vehicle cutting off.it will start rough but then if don't press on the gas it will cut off"

Sounds like it could possibly be related to either the EGR or a vacuum leak?? I haven't had a chance to discuss much with him regarding engine light codes etc yet though. any ideas what may cause such an issue

Vacuum leak is by far the most common especially on that era (1999-2002). Use Search on
hose leak
elbow

(Try the FAQs LOL)

Not likely to be the EGR.
