So the latest issue after spending $1400.00 last month on the engine, this morning and start her up shift into D and nothing happens. Give her some RPMs and nothing happens. Rolls so I know it's not stuck in park but. Reverse is the same. Got it towed to my mechanic. Trans worked fine yesterday although for the past week it seems to have been a bit slow going into R or D. Shifts fine though and has never slipped.

Any thoughts? Low fluid maybe but there are no noticeable leaks. Solonoid pack?

If VIN after M45254 I'd say shifter bolts (side of trans) loose/missing. Same for yours? Or stretched cable. Or disconnected electrical cable. Jag diags can detect various problems in detail.

 

It's pre M45254. I would think the shifter cable would be stretched as it does shift out of park. It just doesn't move when in any gear.

So, check cable & also check wiring.
