Default 2003 S-type A/C hot air on passenger side only

Hey Guys,

So i had something odd happen today. I was picking up a friend and it was hot outside so i turned on the a/c (I haven't used the A/C since last summer) The drivers side was blowing nice cold air but the passenger was blowing HOT air. The middle part was also slightly warmer to the passenger side but not nearly as hot as the passenger side. I put my hand over the passenger side vent and it felt like the heater was going on full blast. Also i tried closing the vent on the passenger side and the middle started to blow hot. Any ideas? Should I just take it for a recharge or is it something more serious? Any help is greatly appreciated..Thanks in advance!

Yup, Dual Climate Control Valve... Easy fix.... Search it on here, and look in the FAQ. There are many threads on it, including instructions on changing it. Also, don't worry if the module goes bad... The burnt traces can be repaired with a jumper wire and solder gun.. Again, it's out there... But don't fret. It's common.

First off, Thank you all for your replies. Second, sorry I didn't have time to answer earlier. Anyways I looked at the DCCV and it was leaking so I ordered one and will replace it when it gets here(hopefully before it gets too hot here in California). Once again thank you guys for your help and guidance.

If you want to bring it to me in Jersey I'll fix it for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself...

Take care,

George

The CCM is usually a relatively easy fix by soldering a blown trace on the board.
Take a look here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-2003-a-36719/ you will be able find other threads if you need them.
