Default 2004 STR-Rear marker light install

Hello there
My rear marker lights that fit in the sides of the the car in the lower area just above the bumper are broken.Small red lights with plastic clips.it seems these plastic clips seem to break.
Can anyone tell me how to change them as I have new ones from Jag.

Thanks.Fitz

I just removed mine and the only thing you need to do is push down on the entire lense with both hands and carefully wiggle them out top first.

Look @ post #2:

Thank you everyone
Does anyone know the trick of removing the power connector to the white bulb section?

remove the metal C-shaped clip that binds the two together. I had to use a small pliers to do that. If you don't you will end up breaking it into pieces. Hope this helps. I just replaced a burnt out bulb last week.

I found using a set of long nose pliers made it much easier and pry up on one side. I had to use too much man power with the smaller pliers . Once you get the metal clip off you can turn the white bulb holder 1/4 turn and pull out.

When you replace the bulb check to ensure the housing isn't cracked from the heat of the bulb. Once it cracks, it will allow water to get into the bulb socket and keep killing bulbs. New ones are only $25.00 so if your housing is cracked buy a new one.
