Default 2005 Model Year Updates....

While doing additional research for my ongoing C1175 wheel speed sensor issue this afternoon, I stumbled across Jaguar's 2005 Update for the S-Type Technical Guide posted on Gus's excellent website (JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource). Click on Gus's S-Type Electrical / OBD / Tech Guides section, scroll down and find the S-Type Technical Guide category, then look below it and click on the 2005 Update link. Scroll down to pages 44 through 65. You will find a comprehensive description complete with illustrations of the various improvements that were incorporated beginning with the 2005 model year. Some forum members have described these improvements as "cosmetic" but if you take the time to read the twenty or so pages pertaining to this subject, you will see that the improvements involve much more than just cosmetic exterior appearance....

Posted on here years ago I thought.

It does over-hype things. The EPB already existed but there's a tweaked module. The change to the fuel tank was bad (remember the recall for the endless failed seals?). ACC hardy ever used/wanted. Wow, the dash got round dials!

There's even less change than I thought. In addition to JagV8's observations, the new windshield wiper arrangement was a step backwards when it comes to sourcing replacement blades.
