Can anyone help with a technical problem?

When I start my car the parking brake comes on, so that I cannot move the car. If I then switch off the ignition and wait until all dashboard lights go off, the car starts properly. This only happens in cold weather. Any suggestion?

The EPB is supposed to engage automatically during engine shutdown and stay on until the engine is restarted and the transmission placed in Drive. It appears that yours does not?

Failing battery, or bad power/ground, confusing the module?

It was a weak battery doing the same on my car. The old battery was reading only 11.5 volts. Replaced the battery with one having a reading of 13 volts and the problem went away.
