Did this ever get resolved?

 

still not resolved believe it or not, but here is an update :-) and how is this for not giving up..... I bought a black 2005 str (107KM)for S11,500 on Thursday, almost identical VIN #s, it is in great shape also. there were only 3 for sale in all of Canada (two out west), they wanted $15, 000 plus tax (13%), they finally settled on my $11,500 all in
so I brought it up to Berkshire on Saturday so he could do the comparison tests starting Monday, but I had no way of getting home so he offered me a courtesy car, I wanted the Bentley but got the corolla haha, so hopefully I will get an answer this week.
next will be deciding whether to sell the black or green one or keep both, but will cross that path when it really gets fixed
my wife thought I was crazy to buy another to fix one :-)

 

Now that is a man determined to get to the bottom of the problem!!!

Buy another car the same as the one with problems. It makes it SO much easier to trouble shoot !!

Years ago I had TWO SHO's and it was wonderful to do a quick swap of parts to check if that was the problem before laying out money on something that might be the culprit.

well I got both cars back earlier today, it seems there was a short in the wiring that also took out the ecm blah blah, 3600 dollars later I pick up both cars and I notice when I got in the car my jaguar hood emblem is in the coffee cup holder.....say what, I talk to sam the owner of Berkshire motors and he says.... oh looks like the spring broke, so I say well fix it.... I can do that Friday he says when you bring it in for an emissions test (that I don't need), as I am driving home I notice the aircon is not working....worked like a charm before this, so not sure if this is computer related and needs time to reset as he told me regarding the emission test......it gets better, there is paint chunk off of the hood the size if a quarter ???? like wtf
funnier is they left a battery in my trunk that is still there to test the regular battery, this is totally sloppy work


better still... the car I brought in to help them do their job has an engine light on and error message that the parking brake wont engage.....is this how they solicit future business?? may be coincidence but I am not a happy dual jag owner lol


any advice

hopefully its just a failing battery causing the problem in the new car
