Default 2005 Stype 3.0 Bad intake runner valve?

Got all my tune up and everything done at a shop. Didnt have time to do it myself, so i sent to shop. Had all injectors changed. Spark plugs, fuel filter. Brake pads and rotors plus 2 new rear calipers, oil change. And radiator change. So i was told it would cost another 1200 to fix the restricted performance. I paid 1300$ for the labor and pads. And tune up ect. So can a bad intake runner valve cause these codes to pop up? I just want reassurance before i take it back.

These are the new codes poping up after getting it put the shop. The knock sensor code and p0420 were present. But now they pop up Faster than before after the tune up. Only drove the car 10 miles. Im aware of the restricted performance prior to taking it to get the radiator fixed and calipers. I didnt want them to fix the restricted performace just yet because i will be gone for 1 month due to court related issues and didnt want my car to sit their at the shop and have them think i just left it. The mechanic said he knew what the problem was. But like i said i only took it to get the braking and radiator swap and tune up. So my question is can a bad intake runner valve cause misfires and issue with the injector? Because those are 2 new codes thats popped up after i got it out the shop. Never were their prior to getting the injectors changed and spark plugs changed.

Lots of confusion here. The P1316 code? Your scanner is giving you the wrong definition.

Many scanners give inaccurate definitions for Jaguar-specific codes. This can easily send you (and the shop?) down the wrong path. Here is the official Jaguar list of codes. Follow this, NOT what your scanner says for a particular code:

P1316 does NOT mean a problem with an injector circuit. This code only appears in conjunction with a misfire code, and means the misfire problem is severe enough to cause catalyst damage. The check engine light will typically flash to get your attention. Do NOT drive the car like this, or you risk melting a converter, an expensive proposition.

While on the subject, time for me to get on MisfireSoapbox(tm):

If the computer has set a misfire code, please be aware "misfire" wasn't the best terminology that could have been used. Misfire sounds like an ignition problem, at least to me, meaning the fuel and compression were there, but for whatever reason, the required spark was missing or weak. This might lead a good-looking aspiring mechanic to troubleshoot the daylights out of a perfectly good ignition system. I do not care to discuss how I know this.

In OBD-speak, misfire simply means one or more cylinders is putting out low power compared to the others. Pretty much anything affecting the output of a cylinder can set a misfire code. It can be low compression. It can be a valve not opening fully. It could be a bad fuel injector. And yes, it could be an ignition problem, too, but don't overlook the other possibilities, too. [/soapbox mode off]

Oh anyways, if the P0303 and P1316 codes are new, it's probably related to something the shop did. One of the new coils or injectors could be bad. Maybe a connector didn't get seated properly. P0303 refers to low power from cylinder #3, so that's where to look. If all connectors look good, I'd suggest swapping #3 coil with another cylinder and see if the problem follows. If no change, swap the injector next.

I've no idea why the shop says one of the intake runner valves is bad. I suspect his scanner is feeding him a bad definition. Ask for the codes they saw, not the scanner definitions.
