Hello, I just bought 2006 S Type w/37000 mls for $13200 , I 'm now buying A/C compressor & now the door locks won't lock!! They lock but unlock right after , checked all doors,hood & trunk . The shine is dimming Please advise!!

There is a TSB on here that could save you alot of money on the AC compressor.

I am pushed for time but someone will post it it soon, or YOU can always search for it.

Here's the TSB, the door lock problem rings a bell, worth a search I'd say, use google and follow JagV8s advice in the help & suggestions section.

Re: door locks, etc. Check your battery, if it's original, it most likely will need replacing. Get a hygrometer from any auto supply and check each cell, may have one or more weak ones.

It appears to have you remove the valve, then the spring.
In the replacement mode, you put the valve in first, then
the spring! Can this be correct?

Yes, you are effictively disabling the valve. The newer units don't have the valve.

 

Hello Again, Well I yanked off belly shield & nasty nasty, looks like power steering pump leak so anybody know a good link for p/s pump, please advise !!

 

Hello, I found a real honest Mec , he said my only problem with Jag was recirculating door hung open so was sucking in hot air while in stop n go traffic, so shine coming back a little @ a time !! but still have p/s leak but working kinks out one @ a time w/ your help THANKS

You shouldn't need a radio code.
If you do the dealer can give it to you.

 

Radio does not play has code on screen ??

 

Your radio must not be properly set for the US. Shoot me a PM with the last six digits of your VIN# and I'll get you the code. When set for the US the code should be deactivated. I'll cover t hat when we have the code.
