Default 2006 S-Type (Questions about buying)

I have a friend that is looking at a 2006 S-Type with 78k on it. It shows a navigation screen. How updated can the nav system be made to and what about the Bluetooth on the car or just due to navigation screen does that mean it has Bluetooth or not?
Does not appear to have the prem. sound system as the Alpine would be on the speakers and don't that put a sliver Sirrus panel in front of the gear shift if prem. sound?

Anything else about the 06 model that I wold not already know from my 05 model?

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ct...559325906.html

Any other comments about the car or the ad about the car would be appreciated.

Thanks

From the advert it says DRIVE: 4WD
The S type does not come in 4 wheel drive. An owner should really know that.

From the photograph of the back of the car, one tail pipe looks different to the other? It could be the weird lense on the camera, but one tail pipe is sticking right out and the other is hard to see.

I'll have another look at the ad and see what else I can see.

There is no mention of any service history or any other mileage verification. That's a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't touch it without a minimum of 90% service history.

Yeah photos 7 & 8 show up that the right hand tail pipe seems out of line and hardly visible compared to the left hand tail pipe.
I'll take another look a bit later on my desktop pc upstairs because it's got a good sized screens.

Thanks:

We do have mileage and service verification from car fix, but the tailpipe is clearly another issue. I saw that when I looked at the car, buy just plain forgot about it as I was looking at other potential issues.

Well that is good news about the service record and mileage verification.
I've literally just had a much closer look at the photos with the Firefox zoom feature and I can't see anything else to mention.

At that mileage it is ready for a gearbox service. I think its every 70,000 miles on the ZF 6 speed. Its not a cheap job.
I had my gearbox serviced last year at about 74,000 miles and it cost £400 by an independent specialist in England. The ATF cost is very high.
About £80 a litre ? for Jaguar brand ATF in the UK
It would be worth asking if the gearbox has been done and by whom and if it hasn't been serviced that might give you some leverage? But it needs to be done.
It does look in very clean condition.

Thanks.

The transmission run very smooth, but you rare right about the maintenance. Should cost about $400 here for part, fluid and labor.
