Default 2007 S Type 3Ltr

Problems started a few weeks ago when at cold start up the engine ran roughly, missing and driving down the road my dash said " Restricted Performance" and after a while would go off and run fine.
This would happen every time I started it. Had a fault finding computer check and it showed number 5 coil at startup failed, so put a new coil in and same thing happened but showed cylinder 1 coil faulty so changed that but no difference. Changed all coils and spark plugs, removed injectors and checked to see all working re-assembled and took it for a run and it ran beautifully until the next morning when the same thing happened, ran roughly and showed "Restricted Performance".
When we tested on the computer analysis it showed "Fuel rake pressure at 256Kpa when normal should be 3000-8000 Kpa. I left it at the workshop for a month to find this out and it seemed to be running OK. When I called Jaguar to ask a mechanic he said if it's running ok don't worry about the fault reading as this always happens, si I took it home and the next morning the same thing, missing roughly and saying "Restricted Performance" Has anyone any idea as it's only done 80,000 kms??

Here are several possibilities:
fuel pump faulty
fuel rail pressure sensor faulty
fuel filter clogged

There may be more, but these are where I would start.

Welcome. I see that the above is your first post. When you find a moment, please post the expected "introduction" in the New Member's forum, which can be found here:

Now, on to your problem... Do you have a diagnostic code reader that is capable of reading both codes and live streaming data? If yes, please run a scan and report any DTCs logged as well as fuel rail pressure and we will be glad to help.

For the codes, just post the actual code itself, e.g. P1234 and not the scanner's interpretation of the code.

That computer analysis is HIGHLY suspect. Normal fuel pressure is around 275Kpa running, and something like 375 before start. Don't quote me on the exact numbers, but 3000-8000KPA is WAY out of spec. Even if there was an extra zero in there, 800 is still way too high.
