2008 S Type Key Fobs
The two key fobs for my 2008 S Type are not working. One of them worked for a time but quit. I changed the battery but doesn't work. The other one has new batteries and has never worked.
Any suggestions.

When you say not working, do you mean that the buttons are not functional to lock/unlock? If so, I have the same issue. Only the trunk open button will work. I saw a YouTube video of a guy that "repaired" the push buttons with solder and new chips, but that looked outside of my skill set.
Did they both work at one time. If so they could have lost programming to the door module. That requires jaguar sdd software or equivalant to redo. More than likely the circiut board has failed or battery contacts have failed. I had the same issue on my 06 s type. I bought 2 good used genuine jaguar flip keys on ebay and swapped the remote part to my existing key half. I have sdd and programmed myself. If you buy replacements i would stick with genuine jaguar and make sure they are from a US vehicle because US is on a different frequency than the rest of the world. One easy thing to do is give the circuit board a spray of electrical contact cleaner and a easy brush with a toothbrush before going the replacement route. Make sure it is high quality cleaner that does not harm plastic
Hi Scott, the flip-keys from the Chinese internet sites never gave me troubles. They are heaps cheaper, but no difference. There is a key-combination, which you simply press to swap from 433 to 315 MHz (The latter one being the frequency for the US). Most people would not be able to do SDD programming at home, thus, "Dude" probably needs to find a specialized locksmith, who is not that greedy (if the other repair-methods described above fail).

Yeah, I knew there was a method to swap the frequency but I forgot it. Thanks for chiming in with it. As far as the Chinese fobs go I guess I was unlucky because I bought four and none of them would program. Hopefully he might just have some corrosion or something that can be fixed up with some contact Cleaner.
