Why resurrect a 6 year old 'dead' thread. . . . especially one that has been resuscitated too often in the past.

Unlike Lazarus, it shows no signs of life . . . no doubt because the OP was back 12 years ago!

That 90,000 mile car has now, most likely, either clocked up a quarter million, or driven off a cliff!

I have a 2003 S Type with a NA V8 with like 94,000 miles on it too. Is the car from the original owner? Do they have records of things that have been replaced and fluids changed? Asking why they are selling the car is a good question too. I look at S Types for sale every once in a while and have noticed that prices are going up, like every other used car. There are also fewer good ones for sale than there used to be too. Look in the rear wheel wells and exhaust pipes and look for splatters of burnt rubber. A little bit of burnt rubber is OK, a lot, maybe not so much.
If the fluids look good, no leaks, the suspension isn't all worn out, and it drives good I'd go for it. Maybe bargain about the price a little too. The only big maintenance thing that it will need soon if not already done would be new spark plugs, which is pretty easy on the NA V8.
