ok i just got my car back for the dealer they said that c1234 f/r c1233 f/l not on at this time. poss tc soming slip. i ask them about it trun off the ABS and DSC and they said that they will always do that if it slips to much the trun them off so it dose not burn out the ABS pump. He said it's a ford/jag thing. How can that be when they are safety features. i all most killes my self driving in the snowwhen it went out.Why would they be theownly company to do that. BMW,BENZ, LEXUS, andall the others dont do that? Also do the 03 s-type have the globe open/close featuer on them i know it have the open, but they told me it dose not have globe close they never came with that. I thought that i have read on this fourm that some have it programed?
Global close is programmable. Tell them it is in dealer options on ids. Maybe they can do it for free by experimenting on your Carib they think it cannot be done?
The abs system should not turn off unless you turn it off. Besides, the codes are for front sensors not rear.
I would look very carefully at the bolts on your fenders etc see if it looks as though they have been off. 9/10 s-types I have with that kind of problem have a pinched harness behind bumper from some sort of impact.
Also could be that your wheel speed sensors are caked in snow interuppting the signal. This is more likely.

hey thanks for ur help. i am taking my car back to a differnt dealer and have them take a look at it. as for the fanders they look good, but i think will take it to a body shop ask them if they see anything with the car. how are the wheel speedsensor on this car or they integrated to the hub or have a sensor and ring. is thier some were i can buy a WDS or IDS or any laptop base software reader/ programerthat works on this car, and manuals?
www.Autoenginuity.com seems to have the best aftermarket deal with Jaguar addon package.
The ABS sensors in your car comprise of a toothed tone ring integrated to the hub with a a/c voltage sensor clipped to the back side of it. The hub assembley is held in with 4 bolts and new one will come with harness and sensor. I wouldnt replace it just yet though. Make sure the tranmsit ring is not loose. You can hook up a meter on a/c volts and spin the wheel with it off the ground. Make sure also that all 4 tire sizes are the same. Are they factory size tires? ALl these can make a difference to the way it reads and cause light to come on.
