Abs fault light

I own a 2003 s type jaguar that just turned 100,000 miles. While my wife was driving she noticed the instrument panel had light that flashed ABS fault within 50 yards there was no brakes to the car. We coasted to a stop and the car had a electrical fire inside the hood on the passenger side of the fire wall. I had no tools to disconnect the battery but the fire deptmnt arrived and disconnect the battery. We tried to have the vehicle towed but the wheels were locked . it had to be towed on a flat bed. Is this common for this vehicle? Any idea what could have caused the fire.?
Extremely rare. You may be #1. If you want to check, use Search and words such as fire.
Sorry to hear about it!
Kinda odd to have "no brakes" (*) and also the wheels locked
(*) probably no servo - on all cars you "just" have to press hard
I hope it's fixable at reasonable cost.

Boy now that's a one in a million failure!!!
Please post back with what you find. I can't imagine the failure that happened?? If the ABS light goes on it indicates the ABS is no longer functioning and you just have regular brakes without ABS.
