I think it puts to rest the myth that the (late model) STR was 420HP from the factory. It would have needed the same engine, twin air intakes, twin air boxes, etc of the 420HP XKR. Which even the late STR didn't get.

 

Nope. late model 06-08 has 400 HP earlier 390 HP. At least over here in Texas

Yep I realised the naming convention afterwards, was getting confused with the AJ41 which is a Land Rover 4.4

Anyway, you've got this engine, what are you going to do with it?

 

I was surprised by the AJ40. I'd have guessed AJ35 or AJ34T or whatever.
