Question Alarm/lock/unlock fob distance

My fob used to work 2-3 feet away from the rear of the vehicle, now it only works when i hold it over the bonnnet (hood) near the windscreen.

I have channged the battries in both fobs, did nothing.

Is the an ariel/receiver on the car that might be damaged ?

Hi fellas,

Check your cars as stated in this bulletin, I have run into a number of these way passed the 2003 cars listed, clear up to 2006's. Something happens to the receiver in the door module.

Cheers,

Agreed. Just think of all the electronic problems a failing battery is known to cause in these cars. First things first - check all of your battery cells to ensure that they are properly filled with water. If not, fill them up. Is this your only electronic issue right now?
