Default Automatic windows

2005 S-Type.

I have automatic windows. The drivers side stopped doing the automatic down, required the button to be depressed for the full time.

The service manager said I could re-program the windows. He had me start with the windows full up, press both buttons and hold them until the windows were down plus 5 seconds. Then I had to do the same thing to put them up. I was to repeat the sequence 3 times.

It worked. Two weeks later, the program failed and I had to do it again. Now, after a few days, it's failed again.

Is there some step like baying at the full moon or some such that I should also be doing to make this stick?

Eric

NO YOU HAVE TO BAY AT THE MOON, BUT IT HAS TO BE A HARVEST MOON.
ACTUALLY EITHER THE MODULE IS BAD OR YOURE LOOSING POWER INTERMITTENTLY TO THE MODULE THAT RETAINS MEMORY, MUCH LIKE DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY

Is there anything I can check to say r/o a loose connection? Is the module in the driver's door switch?

Thanks.
