Guys,

regret having to ask, BUT does anyone have or know where I can buy a black leaper hood ornament for my '06 S-Type? I think one from an X-Type might work. Was sitting in my car & a young guy comes up, looks at me, points to hood ornament & yanks it off. Spring assembly & cable were ripped off & old ornament cant be fixed. I kinda want it as secure as factory; dont want to think about it flying off!

About that black leaper hood ornament...Amazon's black one does not have the spring assembly. Instead, it is held in place with glue/adhesive. It looks like you peel off the red strip from the bottom of leaper & stick it on. Am not confident that this won't fly off my car sooner rather than later. Am looking for one with spring assembly.

The best ones I've seen are on concourse days. Jag dealers and jag-heads bring their collections for swaps and sells. Perhaps your local Jag car club?
