Preface lift to post face lift not as easy as swapping parts but, ANYTHING is possible with alot of bondo!

I am pretty sure the items you want to swap are the ones that got redesigned from 2002.5 onwards . So direct fit on the bumpers is a no and I believe the hood also a no. I am not a body expert but with some mods they probably would...there are many very sharp minds on here so I am sure you will get more detailed advice than mine

He did in post #5. The entire front end panels are not interchangable without a lot of bondo any more money than sourcing correct parts!

IIRC, when this subject came up before the general consensus was that the front fenders, bumper cover, & hood would be required at least. Not sure about the front bumper mounts. The rear bumper was an unknown, but you'd probably need the trunk lid. That would mean that a tail light swap would be needed too since all that stuff changed shape with the facelift. That would also mean modification of the rear fenders, which means bodywork (welding and/or bondo). None of this is proven, so if you did attempt this sorta thing you'd definitely be the 1st. Sounds kinda expensive for an experiment tho. This info is worth exactly what ya paid for it, and as always YMMV. Good luck if you try it

Many, many years ago, a fellow members did in fact try to match up a post face lift on a preface lift S Type. He took 1 picture of the vehicle while sitting under a carport out west ssomewhere. Mostly post face lift parts were different colors, obviously from different donors. The hood was preface lift. Nothing matched up!

I have mentioned this several times over the years. Unfortunately I have tried and tried to find that post without any luck.

many thanks

i read in this thread that the front fender (wings) apparently doesn't changed after the 2004 face lift

this could be interesting but it appears to me very wired that the bumper and the hood changes without the wings...but maybe ?

this is getting very exciting. i know that doesnt change alot for many but i feel the 2004 face lift way more appeling

It may be right but I don't know for sure. Check the part numbers - if they changed then they're likely different.
