I think you can get some parts to fix that vacuum pipe with P/N C2S15816. That is not listed anywhere for the V8, but I'm pretty sure the "O"ring and the black collar from that kit can be used for your car.

Good luck!

My o ring for the vacuum line in the throttle body elbow needs replacing and my dealer says that the black plastic clip will break if they try to replace it, it sounds like the same problem that dtown was having. My dealers says that the part number C2S15816 is for an XType and will not fit my 2004 XJR because the plastic part is too small mine is bigger and Jaguar do not supply that kit for the XJR so it's new Elbow assembly needed at $1200. Now this plastic clip is separate from the Elbow so you must be able to get it surely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know your dealer guy is sincere in his belief, but that's because the parts catalogue does not show that part listed for any engine but the V6's. The black collet and "O" ring in that kit will work for the vacuum pipe in your induction elbow. I have repaired numerous leaks at the booster pipes using that fitting kit. If I'm not mistaken, I think I've used it on the AJ16 engine as well.

Good luck!

XJR thanks for that, I am positive that you are right. My dealer still is saying no so I will try to find out what the diameter of the booster hose is and try to prove to them it will fit the clip. Thanks again for the information it's great that we have access to guys like you.
