Default Brake Pads , , , . revisited

OK I am having the Hardest time finding brake pads.

I have ask what are the best Ceramic Pads to use on my Jag, on a previous post.

EBC Redstuff was recommended , I trust the opinions on this board.

So I order the pads , however . . . . . . . . . . .

It was a task just tracking them down , lots of searching.

SoI find a company that has them “$65 for the rear & $117 for the front” kind of
steep but I bit the bullet.

Well they “autopartswarehouse” sent the rear set and back ordered the front.
They said no date on when I might get the front's, so they issued me a credit.

Ok more research , found another company “Inner Auto Parts” and placed the order.
That was last month, just called them , back order and they gave me a credit.

Can anybody here lead me – guide me in a direction.

I need #E35DP31912C FRONT SET “2006 S-type”.

I have exhausted all my leads and do not know where to get these things.
Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend using Akebono Euro pads...quiet, great performance (slightly below the EBC reds), but LOTS less dust.

Try this place .

I'm still swearing by the Kevlar pads! Try here I think that they have ceramic too! Got my pads in 3 days and I really like them.

Thanks hs0boy I order them from the parts bin "they said IN-STOCK".
But I am hesitant because the last two place's I ordered from said the same thing.
We will see . . . . . . . .

momo tiretrack only had the rear pads.
badmomo brake performance only had the rear pads also.

Thanks

Cajun, I always use the "live help" feature to double check availability. love that impersonal communication... wouldn't hurt to log on and ask the online sales guy just to be sure. I wish you luck!

I have a question guys.
I need new brake pads and maybe rotors. Is it a good idea to go the dealership? how good are the OEM parts comparing with the genuine parts?

Well, from what I have read, the "R" rotors are hard to come by anywhere but the dealer, but rotors and pads for the rest of the cars can be found, and in most cases, meet or exceed the OEM specifications. "R" pads are hit and miss, but Cajun found some eventually outside of dealer channels. Good luck.

Is anybody here using the Akebono ProAct pads? They are the next level down from the Euro pads, but are probably just as good as any Raybestos or similar "premium" pad. Anyone have any experience with these pads?
