Problem with my S type 2002 Manual 2.5 , parking brake warning light on but can't engage EPB ¬¬no warning previously``just stopped working,,can anybody suggest how to get parking brake working ??

Easy & cheap/free stuff first: check fuse(s) & relays

If you can, it's worth trying the recalibration which I think is in the FAQs.

Next: think hard - could it be your battery (or any of its wiring with bad connection)?
Seriously. The EPB is really really fussy.

Hard stuff: either the module or motor may need replacing. There are threads about these but try not to need to.

Should I just weld my trunk shut?

All of these issues with water in the trunk and all of that electronics etc. in such a vulnerable spot? OK maybe just use like 4 tubes of silicone caulk?
