Can I use a set of front seats from an early RHD S-type in a LHD car of the same series?
If so, what would need to be done (if anything) to adapt wiring, sensors etc?
Do the drivers seat or passenger seat have sensors that make them "sided"?

The controls would be on the wrong side for one thing.

Passenger seat has live and earth cables for motors, and live and earth for airbag. Just 4 cables.
Drivers seat has the same 4 cables, but another 8 besides.....
I don't understand why, because the drivers seat doesn't do anything more the passenger seat.....
Guess I can't swap them over easily then.
Ho hum.

 

Commonly driver's has more adjustments but not everyone realises that.

 

Both front seats have the same adjustments.... so why the 8 extra cables for drivers seat?
Maybe there is a module under there.. will take a look.

 

It's for the memory, there will be a module.
