CAN network help needed
2001 S Type 4L auto with 54k miles. My wife was driving along and the Jag just dies on her. I have the Jag flatbed to my garage and start to work on her. I pulled out the code reader and found U1262 along with other codes. Also the security light on the dash is blinking Code 1_6. So the PATS system is preventing the fuel pump from working. I know these systems are sensitive to battery condition so I replace battery and the car starts and drives, BUT I am suspicious that the CAN network may have caused the original problem so I check Can Hi and CAN lo and get 40K Ohms instead of 60 Ohms. I disconnect the ABS module and still 40k Ohms, then disconnect the Rear electronic control module and still 40k ohms. I need some suggestions on where to look or why I am getting such high resistance (40k ohms vs 60 ohms) on the can hi to can lo lines.

Hello,
I'm not a professional, but as far as I know, a 2001 doesn't have a CANBUS. It only came with the technical update (ZF-6G gearbox).
The resistance measurement also makes me doubt it. If a device is disconnected, the resistance doubles because the BUS is interrupted (and a resistor is missing).
What do you use to read the errors? IDS or WDS?
Best wishes, Willi
