Default Car won't start

Car hydroplaned and slide backwards into guard rail. Car won't start and fuel pump emergency shut down switch button will not stay in!

Is the security indicator on the dash going out when ign is turned on.

If it is, then if you are sure everything is working no fuel leaks etc disconnect battery for 5 mins and then reconnect and press inertia switch in again.

Listen to see if the fuel pump runs if it is, then you may be flooded put throttle to carpet and try to start.

Welcome to the forum crwokc,

I've moved your question from XK8/XKR to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Try the inertia switch (see handbook - but is often via a hole at the dash end).
