I wouldn't want to post anything which might be considered negative so let us know how it turns out.

Who are you and what have you done to JagV8? Release him immediately or I’m calling the authorities!

At the risk of sounding negative, removing the catalysts is going to cause the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp/Light) aka CEL to remain on. The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) uses the input from the four oxygen sensors to adjust the fuel trims for correct engine performance.

I didn't notice much sound difference going catless. Heck, I thought I was going to get that nasty catless smell my trans am has but I didn't. Maybe Jaguar's programming is just better. Who knows. But realistically, unless you can't afford new cats there isn't much of a reason to ditch them. It doesn't free up an appreciable amount of horsepower on these cars and to not get a check engine light you need to get rear o2 spacers from someone like Vibrant. I'd keep them if you have a choice to.

You sound like a child. Honestly though, there is a difference between being constructive about the pitfalls of an idea and being dismissive. You have a ridiculously large wealth of knowledge that you're nice enough to share with us, but you could work on your tact. Are you really offended that you were called out on that? No one is saying you have to change, but you can certainly be aware of how your responses come off to newer members.

Hi
removing the cats will make the car louder
will also make it a bit perkier low end revs, does not make much difference top end
will also give lots of constant engine faults, this can only be stopped by mapping the cats out
you could try o2 foolers but they dont always work on these
cheers
joe

Would suggest getting it tuned as well to eliminate the check engine light that’ll come on if you don’t. Imagine it’ll sound quite a bit louder and throatier. Have a tuner I could message you if you’d like.
