Default Changing a solenoid pack..

I have a 2000 Jaguar S-Type V8 and the transmission fault light was coming on because of a hard shift from 1-2 and then again just before I stopped from 2-1. I have ordered a solenoid pack but the mechanic here on Maui that works on foreign cars has never changed one of these before. I hear that this is about a 1 1/2 hour job. Can anyone steer me to a place that has DETAILED instructions on how to do this so I can give it to my mechanic. I don't want this job to cost me more than about $200. Thanks for your help.

We have the factory shop manual and I would not attempt this repair without it!

It's called the JTIS and it's free on this forum. Look at the top of the threads and look for JTIS in the title.

Again. Look at the top of the forum. Look for a thread with JTIS in the name. Open that up and follow the directions.

You really will need to do something yourself rather than ask for someone to do it for you!
