Default Chassis Stiffening

HI all, Almost 'love' my 07 S after 2+ years but still am bewildered at how flexible the car is. Tiny road imperfections get transmitted through the entire vehicle though large affect it more normally. Remember, I got this one with 9k miles and now have only 26k on it so theoretically, nothing is worn out yet.

Any ideas on what Jag did to the "R" model save for suspension boosts? Shock tower brace, thicker rockers? I know the XF is like a 40% stiffer 'frame' which I find makes a huge difference in all aspects of driving. Odd to think that a stiffer chassis makes for a better ride but it's all about control. I asked about this in the past and had one entertaining reply that if it could have been made better, Jag would have done it before releasing the car.

Any thoughts or anything you've done? cheers,

The R got a sheet metal panel behind the rear seats that narrows the hole to a ski pass through, from memory it was claimed to stiffen the chassis by 7% or something. I removed mine without noticing a difference. No strut tower brace or other changes to my knowledge.

I live in a suspension torture zone. N. NJ near the GW bridge and I can tell you though we intended to not drive the 2005 STR we got with 14K miles on it that much locally that it is what has happened ...

It has really taken it's toll on the suspension too. I recently did some new ball joint boots in the front and it needs 4 new links in the rear. So it's just not the most robust of designs for such an environment. But it's the boots that have failed and not the joints.

But the front end suspension when pushed hard on somewhat bumpy roads has always left like a big set of ***** on a woman who's running WO a bra. It washes out ... I guess that's why it's a more civilized ride than say a M series BMW.
Perhaps a shock tower brace front & rear would improve things? I'm not sure if there's clearance in the front for one but I assume it would have to be a custom piece.
