2003 Jaguar s-type 4.2 liter v8 base. Chech engine light came on. Went to amazon and purchased an OBDII reader for $25 retail was $120. Got it Told me MAP sensor low voltage. Removed MAP sensor and used cleaner on it, put dialectric grease on connectors and lubed up O-ring with a little vasaline petroleum jelly, very little. Also put some on intake hole for sensor. Cleared the code just drove about 200mi and code did not return. So far owning this car has been quite the education on car fixing, love it. It appears that who ever owned this car before didn' seal the map sensor the o-ring correctly.
