I had to send my jag (2005 S-Type R) to the shop to have the coolant hose under the supercharger replaced. While there the mechanic found the small vacuum leak that I had been searching for and fixed that too so the performance is back to normal. Although, when I received the car back the error message was on stating "press foot and parking brake" while an annoying beeping would only stop when the car was not moving. I messed with the parking brake for a bit and was able to get that to turn off but now the engine light is on but no codes are registering. I had the light reset but it is still on. Any ideas why the light is displaying while no codes register?

 

Providing the MIL cycles when ignition is put on (like the other lights do), you're using a tool that is failing to report the codes properly. Change tool.
