I picked up a couple sets of these. The front doors are done in like 5 min per side. See attached video. Next the rear doors. A little more work but not impossible. Just need to find what sets the overhead dome lights off and on...

Those would probably work too in loking at them although they look a bit longer than the ones I got.
These are the EXACT ones I bought, I actually thought about doing 2 sets and adding these to the rear doors too, but there are no lights in the rear doors to wire these into. I basically tapped into the door lights to wire these up so when you open the door the door lights and these all come on together and go off together. It was super easy dont even have to take the door panel off just loosen the bottom find your location (I mounted mine almost directly under the existing door lights) drill the hole install the tube connect the wires and VIOLA!!!

when you say "just under the existing puddle lights" do you mean outboard of the stock puddlelights but still in the underside of the door cover?
