Default "cylinder 1 missfire" problem.. I Need Help!!

Well ive owned my jaguar for a couple months now and have to say i love it! Anyways i was driving on the highway. As i accelrrated it started cutting out a bite. Then the check engine light came on. So today i took my car to the auto store and they check for the error code. It stated "cylinder 1 missfire" so i changed the coil pack and plug but it still cutting out. Is there somethig else it could be? Do i have to take it to the dealership to get it running correctly. I know i could do this stuff to my benz and bmw without havig to take it to get the check engine light taken off.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks, JON

It would help greatly if you could tell us what model of Jaguar you have, and what engine.

Also take a trip to the "New Member" section and introduce yourself, per forum policy. You will then be granted full access to the entire site which has many many benefits.

We would ask that you put your vehicle details in your signature (use the User CP) button at the top left. This way people that are trying to help you don't have to keep asking as Fraser had to.

Welcome to the forum.

Did you check the sparkplug as well? The coil might have been going bad for a while which might have fouled the plug.

Yeah i changed the plug and coil on cylinder one and its still cuttjng out. Its odd. Ive never came across a problem likee this that couldnt be fixreed w a plug and coil pack. Jyst to make sure tho. If im looking at the engine bay from the front of the car. Coil pack # one should be on the right closest to the front or "nose" of the car correct?

No. It's at the front on the right. But that is using standard car directions - which are relative to a seated driver looking forwards.

Also, see below - we NEED this info to help you:
