Default Daytime Running Lights (DRL) add...Anyone do?

Has anyone added a pair of LED DRLs to their S-Type, and if so:

Which circuit did you tap into and where?
Where and how did you mount the LED strip or assembly?

Most importantly, were/are you satisfied with the results?

Joe, Great write-up with schematics!

I had already ordered LED fog lamps, but was going to keep the function stock, via the headlight switch.

Keep adding relays and the engine compartment will look like that of a XJ-S.

Great job!

hi
the fogs come on like standard with the button on the dash
the drl on the fog comes on with the ignition
the indicator ones, drl comes on with ignition, but when you put your main lights on they go off
both are fed via the fusebox with miniature push button circuit breaker, so either drl can be turned if required
also the relays I used are the micro ones and cannot be seen as the attached to the drl loom and are under the plastic slam panel cover
only reason you have to use relays is because every thing on the Jaguar have a positive feed and the modules switch the negative
cheers

Hi

I am also thinking about doing this mod and would like to thank you for your write up. Just one question about the micro relays.

Did you use solid state relays and what sort of you remember.
