Dccv
At this on-line parts store they call this part is called a Heater Valve. Is this the same as the DCCV? If so, the Bosch unit seems like a pretty good price.

If this is not the correct part could someone please direct me to a parts seller with reasonable pricing?
Thanks.

Take a look at this thread, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-source-27185/ lot's of reading and information on DCCV's
Ouch go to amazon they sell they exact same part for $86 shipped
I looked for the $86.00 DCCV on Amazon, but couldn't find it, however, I did find a Bosch replacement heater valve for the 2003-2008 STR for $69.00 - NICE

One word of caution............
Whatever valve you install, check both solenoid coil resistances. Must be 15-18 ohms. Anything less and Climate Control Panel failure soon follows. Current goes up and circuit board can't take it.
Cheers,

Not to disagree strongly but my brand new one is 14.2 ohms one side and 14.3 ohms the other. I'm reluctant to say it's faulty!
On these DCCV systems, anymore, at the first cooling/heating complaint I check the valve resistance. I'm pretty confident I've preempted several control panel failures by doing it.
I guess we gotta go with our own experiences.
Cheers,

This guy lays it all out. Will repair your existing ccm for $250 bucks or the nav rccm for $345 bucks. Has a complete how to diagnose, remove and replace.

The Bosch valve I bought, advertised as new on Amazon furnished through an aftermarket seller, actually came in as a used valve. I'm going to try it after checking the resistance, but Amazon gave me a $20 refund,
so I have to say they're trying to be fair and I can still return it for a full refund if it doesnt work.
***** for Amazon.
The RCCM for cars with navigation seems very resistant to being damaged by failed DCCV's. Brutal has stated he has never had one damaged BUT the CCM for non-navigation cars is very likely to get damaged by this.
Also be aware that you can repair it yourself. Several very good sets of instructions have been posted. Sometimes it's just a couple of traces on the board and sometimes it takes out a transistor or two. But either way it does leave a visual burn mark that you will be able to see. Of course if you don't want to mess with it you can send the module out for repair.

I would be reluctant to open up the module and fool around with circuitry.
Past experience has shown I'm not very good with circuit boards, however
I found Module Masters in Moscow, Idaho who will repair your RCCM module for
$99.00 and turn it around in 2 days.
I shipped mine there Saturday via Priority Mail Small box and it arrived Monday
from Texas (I never knew the USPS did anything on Saturday or Sunday).
They called me today (Tuesday) and said they are shipping it back today
2nd day air (maybe I should've asked for Priority Mail). Shipping is extra and they
offer a 5 YEAR WARRANTY and the circuitry is protected against failing due to the
DCCV again.

Yes you can even modify the module so it won't burn out again. I have seen diodes added in case the DCCV fouls up again. Probably why they can offer the 5 year warranty.
Sounds like this protection should have been put in originally.
