Default Dealer option

Hi,

Using SDD to list the dealer options I found:-

"dual electronic climate control moisture purge activation"

Please can anybody explain to me what that means?

Thank you

Sarcasm will get you nowhere. Not everyone here is on your timetable.

Looks like you've stumped the guys on the other Jag board too.

Perhaps a ring to JLR corporate is the answer for you to obtain the correct definition of the term.

Typically, most manufacturers tell vehicle owners to run the climate control system fan with the compressor set to the off position to eliminate condensation moisture on the evaporator, which can lead to mold growth and other unpleasant scents...

agreed , i have read that the s type can sense humidity in the vents and start the heater fan to evacuate the stail air from the a/c system. and not so long ago i heard a noise across my garage , i approached the jag to find the sound and i caught mine doing just that . about 30min after i shut the car off !

Thanks chaps

It does in fact run the system when moisture is detected. One really helpful benefit is that I don't any longer get the unexplained and annoying fogging up of the windows and windscreen.

Are you sure, isn't that just a function of the "Auto" climate control mode?

Mine on auto "just works" and is of course drying all the time as required. (Same as my previous, non-jag, car.)

Well, no, because it didn't do so until I enabled the option using SDD.
