dealership mixed my oil
Finally got my car back, took them over 2 days to replace the cam gaskets which caused an oil leak damaging one of my coils. On the invoice when I picked up the car it said the added 2 quarts of oil, which they didn't mention to me. I asked what oil they used and they responded by saying my car can use either regular or synthetic but I had regular so thats what they put in. I had to correct him, I used royal purple synthetic with my last oil change and now they just mixed in 2qt of non-synthetic. So is there anything I need to worry about? I've also heard that once you start using synthetic you shouldn't go back to non-synthetic. Also, do you think they should have to pay to drain and replace my car's oil with the synthetic brand I was already using?
It's a wive's tale that you can't mix the two, what do you think a "Synthetic Blend" is?
It will not hurt a thing and no they should not drain your oil and replace it with the synthetic, it is just a top off. It's no different then taking your car to a dealer and they "top off all fluids."
