Default Diesel thermostat part number?

What is the part number and manufacturer of the thermostat for the 2.7D engine?

Is it possible that the same thermostat is used in Peugeots and Citroens with the similar engine (AJD-V6/PSA DT17 or 2.7 HDi in this case)?

I don't think the 2.7D S-Type was sold in USA/Canada so you'd be far better to ask on the .co.uk forum

Not sure things like Peugeots are sold in USA/Canada either!

Yeah, a tiny number even have the 2.7D but will they also know the stat #? Try some .co.uk parts sites like:
www.sngbarratt.com
http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...uar%20S%20Type
www.jojags.co.uk
www.skjagtech.co.uk

Thanks for that, jagv8.

It's quite strange - the number of diesel jags sold here in Europe is not so small and still it's so difficult to find any good info. Love the car but owning it is no easy task.

There are quite a few details in the Vehicle Specs I posted here:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...4&d=1269505095

What sort of data do you want? Potentially there is a LOT. If you could explain a bit, please.

Oh... and your car is without a DPF, I think - correct?

I think it doesn't have a DPF.

What interests me most is the electrical guide for the diesel engine (I have the 2004 s-type guide that was posted somewhere in the forum). Or engine schematics. I asked for that earlier. I have problems with one of the turbochargers and also the famous wire corosion issue so I would find these diagrams really useful.

Be prepared in case the wiring diagrams are slightly wrong (the earlier ones are).

What problem with the turbo? What DTCs (codes)?

Do you have the kind known as EVGT (Electronic Variable Geometry Turbo) with an REA (Rotary Electronic Actuator) controlling the vanes? These are not meant to be user-serviced!

Thanks very much for the files, jagv8.

My problem with the turbo is that I get a Restricted performance error and an orange CEL while accelerating a little heavier. It can happen two ways: If I accelerate hard then the car would jerk a little and the turbo would be switched off, the car would lose power over around 2500 rpm - cruise control would not work and I would have to stop the car and restart. I could drive normaly (turbo working and all) after I stopped and started driving again. If I restarted the engine the message would disappear but even if I didn't (i.e. stopped but didn't switch of the engine) I could drive normally with the message still on-screen. The other way is (and it's a lot more common, since I don't floor it that often) - the car is driving with cruise control on, let's say on a hill, or accelerating (with the CC resume function) up to the speed it had before then the message would appear but no obvious loss of power would occur the cruise control would still work. In both cases restarting the engine removes the problem for the time. It is a lot more common with the engine having not reached working temperature. If the temp is perfect - I can nearly floor the car and the message would not come on.

The codes I get for this are:

P0046-00 Turbo/S/C boost control solenoid A (MAF0)
P010F-00 Mass of volume AFS A/B correlation
P004B-00 (or is it P0048-00) Turbo/S/C boost control solenoid B (MAF1)
P0299-00 Turbo/S/C underboost
P062B-00 Internal CM fuel injection control performance

I won't be servicing this myself. I only want to gather as much information as I can that I could be able to explain what my problem is to the mech and also that I know what really must be done - since I don't have a warranty I don't want to get ripped off. The official dealer last time proposed a change of turbos for a little more than $5000 and finished with inspiring words - "but we're not sure that will really help".

Thanks a lot for your interest.

I would be much gratefull if someone could send me electric diagrams covering stated problem (I'm unable to download anything directly from the thread)

All new members have. It's covered in the stuff you're supposed to (& told to) read as a newbie.

Did you manage to fix the problem? Looks like I have a similar issue with my 2004 2.7tdi S-Type showing codes P0046.P0299.P010f and P004b. Performance seems ok except the occasional black smoke. My local garage is going to investigate next week.
