Also would like to add in from another post, there’s a shop here in Houston I’ve worked with in the past. Klutch Motors, who I had Install BC Racing Coilovers, quoted me $2,000 for all 4 corners installed with an alignment as well as corner balancing for my 2006 S Type R. He also ensures the ride height fitment is to your satisfaction. Being as it works out to $500 dollars per corner with labour included, and I’ve worked with the gentleman in the past I’m seriously considering this option as well. If anyone is interested in this option too I’ll be sure and leave their information as well so you have your pick of what you want to do.
I’ll include a picture of my XJ8 with the BC Coilover’s as a reference. I put over 50,000 miles on these coilovers with no problems. Car never rubbed and rode as good as the air suspension but handled significantly better. I’d liken it to a Miata almost.
Klutch Motors is the shop name Address is 19005 FM 529 STE 205 Cypress TX, 77433 Phone Number is 832-974-4852
So I gave BC racing a call, and unfortunately it seems as though that they don’t offer anything bespoke for the STR but they do offer coilovers for the XJ’s 03-09 like I had on my XJ8. Might have to see if I can find my XJ8 and pull the coilovers off from it and see if they fit. Otherwise BC Racing is dead in the water if they don’t fit.

Unless they were faulty, I don't know why anyone would want to get rid of the CATS system. Seems like the best of both worlds unless I missed something....
The arden bilsteins only provide a 1.2" drop mainly because of intended performance and ride quality targets. Going lower would be counter productive for performance and unsuitable for majority of intended applications. With that said, it's not to say they can't go lower, they probably can a touch more, and if you swap out the springs for shorter ones, you can bring them down lower. Within limits of the valving and design of the damper itself of course, otherwise you compromise elsewhere,
If you want to slam your car out, why not just go air-ride? Air bags all around a tank and compressor and you have both the style you want, as well as a reasonable amount of function, all on demand.
Air ride is about 4 times the price of coilovers. That’s a pointless jump..
