When you press the front windshield DEF button, climate control automatically sets the air flow vents to the wind shield, and sets the fan speed to max (nice feature). But what is not mentioned in the manual, is whether the temperature is also set to the max temperature. The temperature on the climate control panel still shows the currently set climate control temperature. Does anyone know if the it automatically uses the highest heat setting in Defrost/Defog mode, or if you have to do that manually if you want max heat?

 

It probably always supplies heat at the max it can whenever the current temp is less than the user's setting, regardless of DEF, except it probably backs off a bit as the temp gets very close.
