My passenger auto door lock stopped working, and my mechanic determined that the entire door lock mechanism needs to be replaced, because it's all inclusive with the actuator.

My question is fairly simple...since all the parts supply stores seem to want nearly $300 for a new one, I was going to try to find one used. But most of the used ones I am finding are coming from 2000, 2001, and 2002 models. Mine is a late model 2003.

Are the earlier year mechanisms / actuators compatible with my year?

Will actuators coming from 2000-2002 S-type Jaguars work in my late model 2003? Did they change these parts between these years?

Are the front door actuators different from the back door actuators? (I realize that the left and right are different).

Hi guys i Have a similar Problem as you see in the previous post i have my front passenger lock actuator that went bad and im try to find out if a late model stype will fit my 2004 stype 3.0V. Futhermore i read the link that was posted and i can't tell if the swap will work. Can sumone please help me out.
