Engine Safe mode light flashes and i feel car moving decelerating a bit. Any Ideas what could cause this issue.

Read the OBDII codes then post them. When the car goes into failsafe or restricted performance it will limit the RPM's to around 2500 - 3000. Read the codes! Also tell us the year of the car and what engine you have.

 

Its an intermittent problem so im not able to pull the codes when it happens but i drive a 2000 Jaguar S Type. I will try again tommorow and see what i come up with. Thanks.

 

What engine do you have? As for the codes install your OBDII reader and drive the car when the RP of FS comes up you should have a code on the reader.

 

In case you mean it's the MIL flashing then you have misfires so bad they're damaging the cats. Normally bad coil(s). Fix soon or replace cats as well!! Lots of others have had this and have helpfully posted on here so you can read how to diagnose & fix.
