Default Exit programming

I cannot find an answer to this. Is there anyway to program the exit memory on my Jag? The seat goes back and the wheel tilts up but I would like the wheel to telescope in. Getting in and out is a bit tough I have broad shoulders and I am constantly struggling to exit and enter the car. Not much room between the pillar and wheel. lol

Me three.
TB S501-20 describes how to determine if you have a seat/mirror/steering column problem, but does not explain how to set the exit positions.
The seat moving a 1/4 inch is not really enough.

Odd, when I bought the car, it when to the exit positions no problems.

Count me in as well!

I would love to know how to set / reset this on my 03... I love the way you feel like you are sitting in the car (almost cockpit like) not on the car, but I am getting her dropped with the Mina lowering springs over the holiday break and although only another 1.2 inches having the wheel "get out of the way" would really be nice and extremely helpful upon exit and entrance!

With the XJ you have three positions on the steering column adjust knob; Pedals, Auto, Steering.

When set to Auto the seat moves all the way back and the wheel up & in when you take the key out of the ignition.

Dunno about the S-Type, but that's how it goes in the XJ.

The S-Type I had, the seats and the steery wheel moved back for easy exit and remained so for easy entrance.

So the problem I am having is that the seat does not move back all the way. Just about an inch now. I know if the seat is within 50 mm of the most rearward position, it will not move back. But its got plenty of room, and it used to do this.

Surely there is a way to reset the seat and wheel to return to the exit positions.
Right?

Probably the dealer tools can do it but could the fault be in a sensor/motor/connector/wiring? You may want to troubleshoot a bit before splashing the cash....

My seat goes all the way back and the steering wheel goes up but does not go in.

Same thinig here, seat goes back steering goes up but not in. Its that telescoping in that would be helpful...

Seems like other cats do this maybe this is not a feature of our STR's?

Anyone know differently??
