Default Expansion Tank Level Indicator

Hi I have been a member here for a while but not made any posts just read lots of other peoples experiences and tips, now is the time I'm after a little advice, Ive replaced the expansion tank on my 2003 3.0 S-type as the original started to leak and the level indicator wasnt working, the replacement tank was fitted with no problems and now the level indicator has gone again showing LOW LEVEL COOLANT. Has anybody bridged the level indicator and if so have they used a resistor or just connected the pins together with wire? I check the coolant level regularly after having problems previously so Im not concerned about the warning light not iluminating I just want to get rid of it from the dash, Ive tried another good level probe but that is doing the same , so any ideas would be helpful.
