Default Expected MPG on a 3L V6 sport Petrol? 2002

I am having a few issues with my S-Type, but I appear to be getting around Av. 15MPG - does that sound right? I am only doing short runs at the mo until my limp mode iss ue resolved. Any ideas welcome... Thanks!

It may well be open loop so will be very rich, poor MPG, shortened catalyst life. OBD can show you, that's one of the things it's for.

It's actually OBD for On Board Diagnostic. In the US we us OBD II. You should see a port on the lover left side of your dashboard. You can get an OBD scanner at most parts stores, at least we can in the US. You plug in the scanner and get the readings per the scanner's instructions.

Both my '01 and '03 get approx 18 mpg around town and up to 30 mpg on the highway @ 70 mph. That is with US gallons, which are about 17% smaller than imperial gallons. So, if my math is correct, 18 mpg in the US is equivalent to about 15 mpg in the UK; therefore, your mileage is about the same as mine (warning - I am NOT a mathematician).

Like I said...I am no mathematician! I majored in Sociology in college specifically to avoid taking math courses LOL.
