Question Fault Code P0065 - 2000 S-Type 4.0

I got a P0065 (Air assisted control range/performance) code today. Honestly... not really sure what that means! I've done some searching and everyone seems to have their own opinion on what to do/check/fix, etc. I guess I'm wondering if there is a certain order in which I should be testing, replacing, etc.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I dont want to do any unnecessary work if I dont have to!

I'd use Jaguar's data, such as the codes PDF (in FAQs and JTIS).

Only the earlyish V8s have the device.

Default p0065

my 2000 4.0 has now come up with the same code. Does anyone have a picture of the air assisted injector and its location? I took a picture of my engine and maybe someone could point it out to me.
thanks
john

Located ajacent to the throttle body on the engine.
That code P0065 for the air assist injection is usually due to a faulty valve located on the intake. If the valve is ok and the tubes are not clogged then it is a problem with the throttle body assembly.

I have the same problem with my 2001 S-Type 4.0.

I removed the AAI valve and it looked clean. How do I tell if the valve is OK?

I can't find this part at any auto parts store. Jaguar told me they could get a used one (probably from a junker). Any thoughts?

If the problem is in the throttle assembly what do I do?

Thanks
