How about providing some detail about why you don't like them?
How long did you use them?
That would be really helpful.

I've had them on for almost a week now and of course the the dust reduction is very nice. But I also love the way I can now modulate the brakes in traffic. The OEM pads were borderline unusuable in that respect. I'm also sensing that they've bedded a bit better and the stopping power has improved since I first put them on.

It sure would be nice to have a direct comparison of the various pads though.

I'm not ever going to take this car to the track so that's not an issue for me.

I've been repairing my wheels at the same time as the brake job so I really cleaned the h*ll out of them off of the car. The deposits left by the old pads were a real SOB to remove. With the repairs done on 2 wheels I finished cleaning them up with rubbing compound and waxed them.

I've tried a couple of products like the one you mentioned but it's really hard to apply the stuff on the inside of the wheels which on this car show quite a bit.

I'm afraid I'm going to be taking the wheels off a lot on this car.

Can I get some hub caps for an STR?

I just replaced all four discs and pads and the front and rear Akebonos seem to me a great buy. Less dust. The braking was very different, I thought the same after replacement that they weren't clamping correctly but they are. Soft breaking for sure. The worst thing was the Jaguar parking park (2005 STR), that was a nightmare to replace and those pads leave dust on my rear rims (why I'm not sure, they aren't dragging on the discs, etc). Maybe this is common?

I'm not sure how long the Akebonos will last though.

I really like the EBC brakes. Started using them on our race quads and were better than anything else. I put a set of Yellowstuff on the rear of my wifes XF and she loves them. The XF has excellent brakes and the YellowStuff made them even better.

Have not checked to see if there is a set of EBC for the STR yet but will definately be my first choice if available for it.
