Default Front ECU removal

I am currently trying to remove the front ECU in the cabin (passenger side) but I am unable to remove the top bolt of the ECU. Access to the bolt is blocked by something the looks like the ECU which is horizontal sticks into the bulk head and just below the glove box to the side of the front ECU. Anyone have any idea how to remove the obstruction.

I'm not even sure from your post which "ECU" you mean? There are lots of them, many in the front! Sounds a bit like the PCM but you surely don't plan to remove that???

You may want to be a bit more than careful not to upset the security system by swapping a module that's part of it, as it'll likely go into anti-theft and I think you'll need a dealer OBD tool to get it out.

The ECU is on the drivers side (UK) on the side of the wing.
